Heidi Alexander was raised in Switzerland by American parents, and her father is a motor racing photographer. Heidi's father gave his Leica M4 camera , when she in her later teens, and that is how she discovered her love for photography. After Heidi completed her BA degree in Scotland, she was offered a place at David Hurn’s School of Documentary Photography in Wales, but couldn't accept her place there.. During her first covid lockdown, Heidi prompted to start scanning through her re-discovered 35mm images from her travels during the 1970’s. She came across a collection of photos of the old Stockport market, which then lead her through her photographic journey of creating the Stockport Collection Photographic project. This collection lead her to be exhibited in some galleries, release a photographic book that is stored in one of the biggest photographic galleries in the UK . As well as creating a photo book of the Stockport photo collection; which got a personal quote made by Martin Parr.. Contacts; ig handler - @heidiale website - https://heidialexanderphotography.com
