Perfect restoration of a Chainsaw- 1964 Jobu Starlet
This chainsaw is Norwegian made by Jobu in 1964. Even if it's old the starlet was pretty modern. It was destined for the metal recycling bin, but I caught it in the last minute. I hope you enjoy this restoration. PS. If you know why there are some removable ports in the cylinder please let me know. Is there any other chainsaws that has this feature? 00:00 - Intro 00:28 - Disassemble the Chainsaw 05:40 - Disassemble Pullstarter 07:22 - Assemble Pullstarter 08:42 - Disassemble Oiltank 13:08 - Assemble Oiltank 16:04 - Reviving the plastic covers 16:46 - Restoring metal covers 18:57 - Disassemble Fuel Tank 21:42 - Assemble Fuel Tank 24:03 - Disassemble and test coil side 25:37 - Assemble coil side 26:23 - Carburetor overhaul 30:11 - Disassemble the Engine 30:54 - Pre repair pressure test 31:37 - Continue disassemble Engine 33:37 - Assemble the Engine 38:06 - Post repair pressure test 39:09 - Assembling all the restored parts 44:41 - Testing and adjusting 46:05 - Post repair demonstration
