Tibetan Nomadic Horse racing Festival of Ladakh || H.H Dalai Lama’s 89th Birthday celebration ||

Ladakh’s Tibetan Nomads of Ladakh gathered for annual birthday celebration of H.H Dalai Lama . There is place called Gyagar Ning near Sumdo village of Changthang where every year Tibetian nomads gather for celebration of Birth of H.H Dalai Lama . There is a beautiful lake in this place named as Tso Chun . In Ladakhi Tso means Lake and a hun means small so this is small lake around which the festival is celebrated. Many nomads from nearby place come together in their traditional attire and main attraction of this festival is Horse racing . The Tibetan nomads come with their fully decorated horses at this place . Since morning the celebration starts with putting prayer flags called Lungta on the top of mountain. Pooja and many rituals are done . Cake cutting ceremony and prayers are done and after that traditional program starts in which Tibetian dance and songs are done .
