The POD HD is much more difficult to use and has virtually no documentation unlike the huge manual that came with my POD XT. You are pretty much on your own with this new box. The stock tones that come with it are absolutely useless, but the HD 500 itself is a massive improvement as far as I am concerned. If you buy one of these be prepared to start all over if you own one of the previous boxes because no patches from the earlier Line 6 boxes (XT, X3, X3 Live) is compatible with the HD 500. That means you have to recreate all your tones and patches from scratch all over again.
