103▶️ Earth 🌍 (Hapax sequencing the Nymphes + Lethargy + H9 // 0-Coast + Julianna // S-1 // TR-6S)
Still exploring the Hapax hardware sequencer and its real-time possibilities 🤩 I mainly recorded one pattern per instrument here. In the first part of the video, the patterns are being transposed live (using "TRACK 16" to transpose all the other patterns), then a pattern where I recorded the transpositions is being launched (in order for me to be able to manipulate the instruments 😅). So it all begins with a sequence from the Dreadbox Nymphes through the Lethargy phaser and H9 Diatonic algorithm, which I gradually mix in. Afterwards I fade in the Roland S-1 Tweak synth which is playing some arpeggios sequenced by Hapax, then the Make Noise 0-Coast (through the Julianna chorus) playing the BASS (I used the Euclid MIDI effect from the Hapax to trigger the bass notes). And finally the DRUMS, played by the Roland TR-6S, but sequenced by the Hapax. I also used the SWING effect to add the shuffle feel. I also programmed the FILL button of the Hapax to change the number of PULSES from the Euclid MIDI effect on the bass, and to add notes on the drums played by the TR-6S. On the bridge part, the four to the floor drums you hear, are still coming from the original drum pattern, it's just that I shortened the length of the pattern to 4 steps (then 3 steps 😉).
