However, former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has questioned these economic growth figures, asking whether India's robust growth data truly reflects the ground reality. He argues that low corporate investment and declining foreign investment do not align with the government's figures. In an interview with India Today TV, Rajan noted a persistent disconnect between headline growth numbers and business behavior. "I don't understand it. If the economy were growing at this pace, you would certainly expect higher investment. Something is amiss," he said.
