I'm not sure that 'Ponzi scheme' is the best analogy for the global financial situation we find ourselves in. I'm just wondering why the CEO of a website that sells gold is talking about a conflict of interest and that they might be inflating things to boost gold sales. If I had money to save, I might consider buying gold just in case, for diversification. But if you have a gold bar and the economy completely collapses, I don't think that bar will do much good.
