Our Apple & Pear Turnovers! (We Make These Weekly) 🍎🍐↪️

This is a super easy recipe our kids love that can be thrown together in about 10 minutes and baked about 20-30 and enjoyed after 10 minutes of cooling! We used just a few natural ingredients on this kid friendly recipe too! This was also previously recorded when we did a live on TikTok for Memorial Day! This is also great to make with the kids if you precut the apples! Feel free to skip peeling them if that's not your thing. Our daughter is super particular so we peel them for her. :) Apple Turnover Recipe: Put puddle of honey down on parchment paper and add a little cinnamon, Put cut apples on top of honey mix and then add brown sugar, more cinnamon, allspice and a few pads of butter. Take crescent piece and drape over apple mix and then brush with egg wash, butter or olive oil. Bake at 350f for about 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve once cooled, it's great with ice cream as well!!! Enjoy. Fun facts about Turnovers: The Name Game: The term "turnover" was first recorded in 1798 and was literally inspired by the method of making it: folding half of a circular crust over the other. 18th Century Debut: The first printed apple turnover recipe appeared in an English cookbook in the 1750s. Early recipes often favored phyllo dough and Granny Smith apples. Fast Food Staple: They aren't just for bakeries! Fast-food giant McDonald's notably popularized the turnover in modern times, making it one of its signature dessert items Variations: Although apples are the most iconic, turnovers can be stuffed with just about anything, including meats and potatoes!
