The Moskvich-2140 SL, also known as the Moskvich 1.5SL, also known by its factory designation as the 2140-117, and commonly known as the Moskvich-Lux, was created for export. While some early Moskvia-2140s were still equipped with K-126N carburetors, all Luxes were equipped with the more advanced DAAZ (formerly the Italian Weber).
