#Sewingleftovers + stash busting pattern reviews and suggestions

As per my last video, I have been really inspired by initiatives like #fashionrevolution, #sewmystash and #sewingleftovers to be more thoughtful about my sewing, especially with regards to my fabric. I used to consume a lot of cheap fabric but now I'm making a considered effort to reduce my consumption which in turn means I'm buying less fabric which may have been made in poor conditions by people who are being exploited, abused and used in a process that puts profits before people. I'm trying more to save my money for fabric that is made in better conditions and has less of an environmental and sociological impact. By creating more demand for ethically produced fabric and asking #whomademyfabric #sewingleftovers allows me to still get my sewing fix and has taught me to use my creativity in different ways.
