In this insane fishing adventure, my mate Finn and I head down to the beaches of Cape Town for a night of serious shark fishing. We set up near an old shipwreck and spend hours casting, waiting, and battling the ocean, hoping something big will take the bait. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any crazier… a massive 160kg Bronze Whaler shark smashes the bait and the fight begins. What followed was one of the most intense battles I’ve ever had while fishing. The shark made huge runs, the rod was bending like crazy, and it took everything we had to finally land this monster from the shore. Landing a shark this size from the beach is no easy task, and doing it at night made the whole experience even more intense.
