Alphonse Duvernoy; Fantaisie Symphonique for Piano and Orchestra in G min, Op.50 (1905)

Victor-Alphonse Duvernoy (1842-1907) was a French composer. This is one of 4 works for piano and orchestra that I'm aware of, though I do not have available scores for the others. Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphons... IMSLP: https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Duver... Movements: 0:00 - I. Moderato poco maestoso 7:04 - II. Adagio espressivo 12:28 - III. Presto If you like what I do, please consider supporting me on Patreon: patreon.com/ForgottenPianoConcertos . Patrons get priority on requests as well as early access to all my videos. I've mostly kept the tempos as marked in the score, but I had to significantly slow down the 3rd movement, as it just seemed impossibly fast to me. I've reduced it by about 70%, equivalent to reading the dotted half note as a straight half note, and that seemed a good compromise between realistically playable and overly slow. Disclaimer: Yes, it's synthesized. Obviously real musicians with real instruments would be vastly superior, but this simulated performance is better than nothing at all, which is what existed previously. My greatest wish is that these videos will inspire someone with the means to arrange a real performance and hopefully record and publish it so we can hear them in their full glory. If that someone is you, or you know of an existing recording of this, please let me know and I may add a link to this description.
