EWR Newark airport to Yale University at New Haven CT by train, tips in surviving rush; look around

Most people assume to follow arrows that direct them to take either stairs or escalator; skipping the elevator entirely even when they pass one to reach the stairs or escalator. Situation is getting worse when these people rush, try to catch a leaving train while carrying luggage down the stairs or elevator. In general, I believe going out of or to Newark airport by train is the most convenient way since you don't want to get stuck in traffic. As long as plan your travel time to give you enough time to the scheduled train, either NJ Transit or Amtrak train service treat you the same when travel with extra-large luggage. Another option is to land on Tweed airport should Yale (or New Haven CT area) be your final destination however Tweed has limited public transportation services specially when you have late or early flight.
