** VERY IMPORTANT - You MUST perform coding backup from DTS Monaco and save the file onto your laptop BEFORE you attempt any coding or entering shipment mode on your HU ** For business enquiries please feel free to contact me, details on my channel home page ‪@leew88‬ Equipment used: Laptop with DTS Monaco 8.16 Tactrix Openport 2.0 OBD adapter \ lead Relevant SMR-D ECU binary data files - "HU5xxx.smr-d" etc. In order to code Apple Carplay and Android Auto you need to carry out the workaround to get pass the HU security. 1. Perform coding backup, then set it into "Shipment Mode" by holding down phone hang up + 3 + * buttons until the display flashes up with the engineering menu. 2. Go to "Version Information" then set "Shipment Mode". 3. The screen will go blank, you will no longer be able to connect to the HU via your diagnostic \ DTS Monaco coding software and no response from any of the HU buttons, this is normal. 4. Hold down the HU central power button until the HU reboots (takes around 10 secs). 5. Reconnect to the HU via your DTS Monaco coding software and go to the "Variant Coding" tab and click connect. 6. From DTS Monaco \ "Variant Coding" tab, load the HU coding backup file you did earlier, select "All Domains" and press "Do Coding" button, this may take a few minutes, sometime the progress bar will hang, this is normal don't interrupt the progress, it should continue to 100% after a few minutes. Repeat coding process if it fails to reach 100%. 7. Now perform individual coding to enable Apple Carplay and Android Auto by enabling the parameters below, these parameters are spread across different domains so go through each drop-down to find them, also not all parameters exist or some maybe named slightly differently: Driver Distraction - ENABLED Mirror Link - ENABLED Services Map Sirusweather - ENABLED Carplay - ENABLED RUI SettingsRemoteUI - ON Mirror link over NCM - ON Notifications - ON Send GPS data over RUI device - ON RUI Parameters WriteParameters - PARK ALL ALLOWED Remote UI services - ON Carplay via USB - ON Carplay Limited UI Elements - DEFAULT Automotive Link via USB - ON 8. Go to the "Diagnostic Services" tab, then "ECU Reset", highlight "HardReset Reset" and click transmit. 9.
