That is, executioner's dock, as in the physical place in London, England, reserved for the hanging of some of the world's most notorious pirates. Over the course of four hundred years, from 1430 to 1830, many of the most famous pirates of the golden age and beyond were hung, gibbeted and disposed of in the waters surrounding this eerie London port.
