Lesson 76: Helaman 6 - Crime; Secret Societies; Egyptian Mythology by Hugh Nibley

Teachings of the Book of Mormon Lesson 76: Helaman 6 - Crime; Secret Societies; Egyptian Mythology on the Origin of the World by Hugh Nibley (2024 ARC) This lecture teaches about how secrets and crimes can be hidden beneath a shiny, luxurious exterior present in the Nephite's society at this time. We learn that greed has a big influence on those who want power, that those who want to be powerful, such as those in the secret society in this chapter of the Book of Mormon, to change them for the worse. It is taught that hiding our acts and not confessing and owning up to our actions, whether bad or good, has a negative impact on our lives. © 2024 Brigham Young University
