This Is Why We Crossed The Pacific
After crossing the Pacific Ocean and spending weeks in the Marquesas, we finally arrived at one of the places we've dreamed about for years: the Tuamotus. In this episode, we leave Nuku Hiva behind and make the 500 nautical mile passage to Raroia Atoll. After carefully timing our arrival through the pass, we enter a world of crystal-clear lagoons, coral reefs, blacktip reef sharks, manta rays, and some of the most beautiful water we've ever seen. For us, this episode is about much more than reaching a destination. It's about arriving at a place we've been working toward since we first started this journey. From surfing and tubing with friends to exploring the reef and experiencing life inside a remote coral atoll, these are the moments that make all the preparation, challenges, and ocean miles worthwhile. This is why we crossed the Pacific. ⛵ FOLLOW OUR JOURNEY Website: https://www.sailingbiglost.com Instagram: / sailingbiglost Facebook: / kellydmalone TikTok: / sailingbiglost ❤️ SUPPORT THE JOURNEY Patreon: / biglost Sailing Big Lost: https://www.sailingbiglost.com/suppor... ⚓ CHAPTERS 00:00 This Is Why We Crossed the Pacific 00:30 Leaving Nuku Hiva 01:21 Life Underway 04:43 First Signs of Raroia 05:08 Timing the Pass 06:58 Entering the Pass 08:03 Inside the Lagoon 08:46 First Days in Paradise 11:54 Life Inside the Atoll 14:05 Sundowners & New Friends 14:59 Exploring the Reef 17:05 The Reward Was Worth It #Sailing #FrenchPolynesia #Tuamotus #Raroia #PacificCrossing #FamilySailing #Liveaboard #CatamaranLife #SailingAdventure #SailingBigLost
