Explore Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Cathedral & Necropolis, Scotland,.stunning architecture, and rich history.

Our first stop in Glasgow was the breathtaking Glasgow Cathedral and the incredible Glasgow Necropolis, and what an unforgettable way to begin our Scottish adventure. The moment you see the cathedral, its stunning Gothic architecture commands your attention. Walking inside is even more impressive. It's one of those places that's difficult to describe because you don't just see it...you feel it. We took our time admiring every detail, lit a candle in memory of Nana, and were amazed that you can still get so close to centuries of history. Glasgow Cathedral dates back to the 12th century and is one of the few medieval cathedrals on mainland Scotland to survive the Reformation largely intact. It has welcomed visitors for hundreds of years and remains one of Glasgow's most treasured landmarks. Just across the road sits the Glasgow Necropolis, a beautiful Victorian cemetery established in 1832. Home to around 50,000 burials and thousands of magnificent monuments, statues, and elaborate memorials, it feels like an open-air museum overlooking the city. Every path tells a story, and the panoramic views of Glasgow are absolutely worth the walk. If you're planning a trip to Glasgow, these two historic landmarks are an absolute must-visit. Whether you love history, architecture, photography, or simply experiencing places that leave a lasting impression, this is one stop you won't want to miss.
