Why I Chose 30.06 For A Survival Rifle
Everybody’s obsessed with .308 and 5.56 for survival rifles. Not me. I chose .30-06 instead. In this video, I explain why I still trust .30-06, why I think it still makes sense in a modern preparedness setup, and why lightweight bolt-actions still deserve serious consideration. This isn’t about hype or tactical trends. I’ve never been much of a trend follower. It’s about reliability, power, flexibility, and building a system you can actually live with long term. Sometimes old school rules, especially when you modernize it a little. For me, .30-06 still checks a lot of boxes. Patriot Zero out.
