A facility manager wears many many hats; they are technicians, general contractors, accountants, engineers, janitors, leaders, and a million other things all at once. But simply put a facilities manager oversees that repair and maintenance of any given facility or facilities. Could be restaurants, hospitals, prisons, military bases, nursing homes, retail stores, and anything in between. They are in charge of every physical tangible part of the facility itself. The floor, the walls, the roof, the parking lot, the electrical, and of course, the equipment (HVAC, Refrigeration, Cooking Equipment, etc). Their job is to maintain all of it so it doesn't break down and cost a fortune to fix OR cost a fortune in lost product, lost customers, or lost revenue. And they need to do it all quickly, efficiently, and strategically.
