A BOMBA DA DÍVIDA VAI ESTOURAR (E VOCÊ NÃO ESTÁ PREPARADO)

The next big crisis has already begun — or is the market still ignoring the debt bomb? In this episode of Market Makers, Thiago Salomão talks with André Jakurski about one of the most important topics for investors in the coming years: the combination of exploding debt, slowing demographics, artificially low interest rates, and capital loss in assets considered safe. Jakurski explains why it's impossible to predict the future with precision, but essential to know how to manage uncertainty. He recalls how low interest rates in the United States encouraged governments to spend more, increased inequality, and created profound distortions in the markets. According to him, American debt went from around US$5 trillion in 2000 to something close to US$40 trillion today — while GDP grew much less. The central point: those who believed that American fixed income was completely safe also suffered. Jakurski shows that a 10-year bond bought at the beginning of 2020 yielded much less than the accumulated inflation during that period, generating a significant real loss of assets. And the big question remains: how to protect your portfolio when the debt bomb could explode in 5, 10, or 30 years? Do you agree with Jakurski that creditors will be the big losers in this new cycle? 📽 WATCH THE FULL EPISODE 380 ON YOUTUBE:    • LIÇÕES IMPERDÍVEIS DE UM DOS INVESTIDORES ...   - - - - - - - - 📌 Subscribe to the channel and activate notifications so you don't miss any episodes! 📢 Support Market Makers and help strengthen the capital market in Brazil!
