My CHEAP BMW i8 Is A TERRIBLE EV *And I Have To Fix It*

I've owned my BMW i8 for about a month now and I use it for almost everything. After spending a good amount of time with the car I've got a few bones to pick with it. As a plug-in hybrid it should have some usefulness as an EV. Instead the i8 struggles to simply be a car when you're running it battery only. When the engine is running or when it's on a long trip the car is perfection, but as a daily driver it falls well short of any other plug-in hybrid. It has a carbon fiber chassis, doors that go up, insane good looks, but all of that is coupled with a hybrid system powered by a 3 cylinder range extender.
