BMW E46 Engine Oil and Filter Change

Procedure demonstrating how to replace the engine oil and filter assembly on a BMW E46 (3 series) BMW with the 3.0 litre 6 cylinder motor. The procedure is likely near identical to other models of BMW. Recommended engine oil for a E46 330xi is Castrol Syntec 5w30 weight oil however, in my video I used the German spec'd 0w30 synthetic oil because it has better wear specs over the North American version of Castrol Syntec oil. You could always use other synthetic oils if need be as long as it meets the oil requirements of your bimmer. For reference the oil filter "kit" is BMW part #: 11-42-7-512-300 You will need 7 litres of engine oil if you're servicing a BMW E46 330xi. Enjoy
