📌 LESSON 3 | Group 5 – Classroom Teacher | Gems, E-books, Interactive Simulators and Maker Team | PNTD 2026 🎓 New Digital Time Program – AI in Education for All 📍 Municipal Department of Education – Patrocínio/MG In this third and final lesson of Group 5 – Classroom Teacher, we moved on to a highly practical stage of the training, exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create personalized agents, digital e-books, interactive simulators, and innovative educational applications, in addition to presenting an important new feature: the future Maker Team of the Municipal Education Network. The lesson reinforced that the 21st-century teacher needs to master not only technological tools, but also understand how to transform these tools into meaningful, creative, and scalable pedagogical experiences for student learning. 🚀 What was covered in this lesson: 🔹 Ethics in Artificial Intelligence applied to education 🔹 LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and data protection in the school environment 🔹 ECA Digital (Brazilian Statute of Children and Adolescents) and responsibility in the use of technologies 🔹 Creation of Gems (custom agents) in Gemini 🔹 Prompt engineering for building robust agents 🔹 Creation of e-books with Storybook in Gemini 🔹 Development of materials in Canva AI 🔹 Use of Canvas in Gemini for simulators and educational games 🔹 Introduction to the Maker Team project in schools 🤖 Creation of Gems – Specialized Intelligent Agents One of the main focuses of the lesson was teaching how to create Gems, customized Artificial Intelligence agents to meet specific educational demands. Participants learned to: ✔️ Create robust names, descriptions, and instructions ✔️ Define the agent's scope of action ✔️ Conduct tests to validate responses ✔️ Create agents that reject questions outside the defined context ✔️ Share correctly using appropriate permissions Examples worked on: ✔️ Gem specializing in Ethics in AI ✔️ Gem specializing in LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) ✔️ Gem on ECA Digital (Brazilian Statute of Children and Adolescents) ✔️ Pedagogical agents by subject 📌 A good agent needs to act as a specialist and maintain absolute focus on the objective for which it was created. 🧠 Prompt Engineering – The secret to high performance The class reinforced the importance of prompt engineering, demonstrating how to use ChatGPT to build more complete commands before transferring them to Gemini. It has been demonstrated that: ✔️ Simple prompts generate superficial answers ✔️ Robust prompts make the agent much more efficient ✔️ The quality of AI depends directly on the quality of the instruction provided 📌 Knowing how to ask good questions has become one of the most important skills in the age of Artificial Intelligence. 📚 Storybook – Creating E-books with Artificial Intelligence Participants learned about the Storybook tool, integrated into Gemini, for the automatic creation of digital books. Possibilities presented: 📖 Personalized children's books 🎨 Automatically illustrated stories 🎙️ Integrated audio reading 📚 Production of original materials in minutes Example used: ✔️ E-book about the Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) for students 📌 A powerful solution for the rapid creation of creative educational materials. 🎨 Canva AI – Creating Customized Materials The class also presented the use of Canva AI, allowing you to create: ✔️ Automated presentations ✔️ Editable digital books ✔️ Educational materials ✔️ Customized teaching resources The use of complementary applications to generate a flipbook effect, transforming presentations into interactive digital books, was demonstrated. 🎮 Canvas in Gemini – Creating educational simulators and games Another highlight of the class was the use of Canvas, a Gemini tool capable of creating interactive applications and simulators without the need for programming. Examples developed: 🌎 Brazilian Biomes Simulator 🌧️ Water Cycle Simulator 🛢️ Oil Formation Simulator 🎲 Interactive educational games It was demonstrated how AI automatically generates: ✔️ Visual interface ✔️ Internal programming ✔️ User interactivity ✔️ Dynamic responses based on choices made in the simulator 📌 An extremely powerful tool for transforming complex content into playful and visual experiences. 🔒 Ethics, LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and ECA Digital (Brazilian Statute of Children and Adolescents) The lesson reinforced fundamental principles about the responsible use of technology.
