You are naturally forgiving, Supreme beyond all, the embodiment of pure goodness, and completely free from anger and every imperfection. Verse 2 You are the highest ideal among all virtuous women and are worshipped by all the gods. Without You, the entire universe would be lifeless, empty, and without purpose. Verse 3 You are the very embodiment of all prosperity and abundance. You assume every auspicious form for the welfare of all beings. O Divine Queen of the Rasa dance, every noble woman is but a portion of Your divine energy. Verse 4 On Mount Kailasa You appear as Goddess Parvati. In the Ocean of Milk You are the daughter of the ocean. In heaven You are the Lakshmi of the celestial worlds, and upon Earth You are the Lakshmi who blesses humanity. Verse 5 In Vaikuntha You are Mahalakshmi. Among the gods You are the Divine Goddess Saraswati. You are also the sacred Ganga, the holy Tulasi, and Savitri in the realm of Brahma. Verse 6 In Goloka You are Sri Radha, the very life-force of Lord Krishna. During the divine Rasa Lila You are the Queen of the Rasa, and throughout every grove of Vrindavan You dwell in eternal bliss. Verse 7 You are Krishna's beloved. In the Bhandira forest You shine like the moon. In the sandalwood forest You radiate cool beauty. In the Champaka forest You are Viraja, and on the hundred-peaked mountain You appear as the beautiful Goddess. Verse 8 In the lotus forest You are Padmavati. In the Malati forest You are Malati. In the Kunda forest You are the beautiful Kundadanti. In the Ketaki forest You appear as the gentle and virtuous Goddess. Verse 9 In the Kadamba forest You are adorned with garlands of Kadamba flowers. In royal palaces You manifest as Rajalakshmi, and in every home You reside as Grihalakshmi, blessing every household. Verse 10 Having spoken these praises, all the gods, sages, and Manus bowed before the Goddess with folded hands, overwhelmed with devotion, their voices choked with emotion. Verse 11 This sacred Lakshmi Stotram, composed by all the Devas, is supremely auspicious. Whoever recites it every morning obtains all desired blessings. Verse 12 One without a wife obtains a virtuous, gentle, devoted, beautiful, noble, and loving spouse. Verse 13 Such a person is blessed with children and grandchildren. One who has no child obtains a long-lived, virtuous, devoted, learned, and illustrious son blessed by Lord Vishnu. Verse 14 One who has lost a kingdom regains authority. One who has lost prosperity regains wealth and fortune. Verse 15 One who has lost relatives regains loving family. One who has lost wealth regains prosperity. One who has lost reputation regains honor, respect, and lasting fame. Verse 16 (Phalaśruti) This sacred hymn bestows every auspicious blessing.
