In the 1920s, it was collectively known as the "Four Major Restaurants in Guangzhou" with Xiyuan, Nanyuan, and Wenyuan. It is also collectively known as the "Three Major Restaurants in Changdi" with Datong Restaurant and Da Gong Restaurant. The name originated from the old imperial examination system. The three winners who won the first place in the provincial examination, the first place in the imperial examination, and the first place in the palace examination were called San Yuan Ji Di. Established in 1919, the founder was Wen Xin Tian. The name "Dasan Yuan" comes from the auspicious phrase "San Yuan Ji Di." In 1953, due to a lack of funds, Dasan Yuan Restaurant declared bankruptcy. In 1959, it was renovated with national investment and became a state-owned enterprise. It added morning tea and operated medium and low-end dishes. During the Cultural Revolution: Dasan Yuan Restaurant was once renamed "Jin Sheng Xi." In October 1982, after reconstruction, the scale was larger, and its reputation was restored. In 1986, Guangzhou Dasan Yuan Restaurant invested $1 million to build a food processing plant. In 1987, it invested 2 million yuan to set up the Dasan Yuan Restaurant Dongpu branch in Dongpu Town, Guangzhou. In April 2000, it was forced to close due to rent arrears. In 2005, the building where Dasan Yuan Restaurant was located was demolished, and it was later vacant and used as a parking lot. The four famous dishes of Dasan Yuan Restaurant: Braised Shark Fin, Grandpa Chicken, Stir-fried Water Fish Shreds, and Crab Yellow Chicken Wing Balls. Haizhu Stone： Haizhu Stone is located near Yanjiang West Road and Xindi Yiheng Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It was originally a reef composed of Cretaceous red conglomerate in the course of the Pearl River, about 150 meters long and more than 50 meters wide. In 1925, it was opened as Haizhu Park. In 1931, when the new embankment (now Yanjiang West Road) was expanded, Haizhu Stone was buried underground.
