The second owner took over the barbershop abandoned during the Korean War, and the current owner, Ji Deok-yong, has been running it for three generations since 1969. It was selected as Seoul Future Heritage in 2013. Ji Deok-yong, a 82 year old barber with 65 years of experience. He was born in 1938 in Cheongju, Chungbuk, he moved to Seoul as a child. He visited the Munhwa barbershop as a customer, but started working at the suggestion of owner in 1956, and became the owner of the barbershop in 1969. He has so far cut the hair of two Presidents, three prime ministers, more than 30 ministers, chairmen of several conglomerates.
