Women at War event, Staffordshire Regiment Museum, August 2022
The Staffordshire Regiment Museum kindly let Women at War take over the museum on the 6th August 2022 to focus on the fascinating and essential roles women have carried out during wartime. We had living history displays and an extensive collection of women's uniforms and personal items on show for visitors to get hands on with women's history! We were telling the stories of many incredible women and bringing to life aspects of war that are not always as well known. The museum volunteers also did a superb job supporting the event with even more women in uniform showcasing different roles and running the WVS canteen on site. We had lots of great questions from the public and some lovely feedback so all in all a successful event.
