This behavior should be a default behavior for service dogs and dogs with reactivity/aggression issues. The demo dog already knows the behavior so the frequency of offering it is much higher than a dog learning it. Train until your dog can do 8-10 rapid looks at you before changing locations, increasing distraction level or asking for duration. A treat pouch is a useful tool. Use small treats the size of a pea for medium-sized dog and soft treats that can be eaten quickly without crumbling. Real meat (beef heart, liver, chicken, turkey, cheese etc) are highly prized by most dogs.The trick into gradually increase the distraction level for your dog. This is done by carefully choosing the training location for distractions. Increase it too much and you lose your dog.
