Back home, I bake a traditional Czech blueberry koláč with quark and wild berries, a classic homemade dessert from the Czech countryside kitchen. Later I make a small paper craft inspired by spring, enjoying cozy homemaking, simple living, and calm moments of slow village life in Czechia. 🤍 I hope you enjoy spending some quiet time with me 🤍 Ingredients (dough + crumbs) 75 g semi-coarse flour 100 g sugar 100 g butter 75 g semi-coarse flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 egg (M) 2 tbsp milk Filling 250 g quark (tvaroh) 60–70 g sugar 1 egg 2–3 tbsp cream vanilla, lemon zest 150 g wild blueberries (frozen or fresh) Instructions Mix flour, sugar, and butter to make crumbs. Set aside about 1/2 cup for topping. Add the remaining dough ingredients and mix. Spread into a 23–24 cm pan. Mix filling ingredients (except blueberries), spread on the dough, add blueberries, and sprinkle with the reserved crumbs. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Cool before serving.
