Alma Llanera / Live in Bogotá / CLASSICO LATINO
"Alma Llanera", by Pedro Gutierrez, arranged by our cellist Graham Walker, was performed by Classico Latino at the Teatro Colsubsidio in Bogotá in June 2012. "Alma Llanera" features the joropo rhythm which resembles the galloping of a horse and is typical of the lowland plains of "llanos" where South American cowboys typically live. This song tells of the Venezuelans' pride for their land and is regarded as one of their national anthems. It is featured on our album Journey Through Latin America, which you can listen to here: https://open.spotify.com/album/3O9Jt1... Ivan Guevara (piano), Graham Walker (cello), Dunja Lavrova (violin), Faber Grajales (guitar), Sebastian Laverde (percussion), Esther Rojas (bass).
