I explored like a kid Castelgrande, a medieval castle in Bellinzona, Ticino, Switzerland. This castle is part of Castles of Bellinzona - a group of three castles and fortifications that were built to protect the alpine trade route. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. It is very well-preserved. One can reach this hilltop castle via an elevator or stairs. It is free to enter.
