Encaustic & Stencils

Stencils offer artists a range of ways to create interesting patterns and marks that can be responded to and buried beneath additional layers of encaustic paint and medium. Dura-Lar stencils work well with encaustic because they have a high heat tolerance and will not tear. In this video we demonstrate a few of the ways you can work with stencils, including PanPastel, R&F encaustic paint, and R&F Pigment Sticks®. Materials used in this demo include: Ampersand Encausticbord, R&F encaustic medium, R&F encaustic paint, PanPastel, and R&F Pigment Sticks®.
