JSU Marching Southerners, 1999, BOA Grand Nationals
The Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners were selected as exhibition band for Bands of America Grand Nationals competition, November, 1999, Indianapolis, IN. The show, "Dances & Celebrations for a New Age" was created in anticipation of the new century/millennium, and featured some of the best classical music of the 19th and 20th centuries. From the opener, "Russian Christmas Music" to the closer, "Finale" (Shostakovitch & Tchaikovsky), this show is one of the best from the "Bodiford Era", which continues to the present at JSU.
