Jembatan Sei Alalak Pioner Inovasi Jembatan Struktur Cable Stayed Melengkung di Indonesia
The Sei Alalak Bridge, connecting Banjarmasin City and Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan Province, is a national infrastructure innovation, the first curved cable-stayed bridge in Indonesia. It was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on Thursday, October 21, 2021. The construction cost of the 850-meter-long, 20-meter-wide, four-lane, two-way bridge was funded by IDR 278 billion from State Sharia Securities (SBSN). It is earthquake-resistant and has an estimated service life of up to a century. It is hoped that the Sei Alalak Bridge will not only facilitate the flow of goods for residents of South and Central Kalimantan but will also become a tourist attraction.
