Kruger National Park Safari | Self Drive & Luxury Safari Experience in South Africa

In 2024, we experienced our very first self-drive safari in Kruger National Park — and it completely changed us. What began as a road trip through South Africa quickly turned into something much deeper. Early morning game drives, golden sunsets over the savannah, close encounters with wildlife in their natural habitat — this film captures the magic of our first Kruger safari experience. We explored the southern part of the park, entering through Malelane Gate and staying at Berg-en-Dal, before continuing our journey toward Lower Sabie. Along the way, every gravel road brought new wildlife encounters that felt almost unreal. After our self-drive adventure in Kruger, we experienced a different side of safari in the private reserves of Sabi Sands and Thornybush, where expert guides led us on unforgettable luxury game drives. From tracking leopards to relaxing at Arathusa Lodge, this journey showed us both the raw and refined sides of South African safari life. This was our first time in Kruger — but certainly not our last.
