Favorite Chapter Books for Boys Who Don’t Like to Read | Minecraft-Inspired Series for Ages 8–14

Trying to find chapter books for a boy who doesn’t like to read? In this video, I’m sharing four Minecraft-inspired book series that were written for kids who love gaming, adventure, monsters, battles, funny characters, and fast-paced stories — but don’t always love sitting down with a book. These are clean, wholesome adventure books for kids around ages 8–14, especially reluctant readers who need a story that feels fun instead of like another school assignment. I talk about four Skeleton Steve series: Creeper King — a great starting point for younger or newer readers Enderman Ninja — martial arts, ninja lore, and a bigger hero’s journey Chicken Jockey — funny, action-packed, and full of friendship and loyalty Jack the Kid — a real boy gets pulled into a Minecraft-style video game world If your kid likes Minecraft, gaming, monsters, survival, adventure, or stories that move quickly, these series might be a good way to help him give reading another shot.
