[Line] Tobu Isesaki Line (TI-15) [Location] Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture [Station Overview] This station represents the area south of the Watarase River in Ashikaga City. Relatively new residential buildings and roadside shops are prominent around the station. North of the Watarase River, where City Hall and Ashikaga School are located, is JR Ryomo Line Ashikaga Station. The two stations are connected by a 20-minute walk. The station has one platform and two tracks, allowing for passing, and all trains, including express trains, stop here. The automated announcement system previously used detailed announcements, and was the same Chofu-type as stations at Hanyu and Kazo. Currently, in addition to the standard detailed announcements, a "Watarase Bridge" approach melody is played. This melody overlaps with the approach announcements. The same sound source is also used for the departure melody at JR Ashikaga Station. The speakers are small Uni-Pex speakers, with one TOA string-type speaker located closest to Ota. Because they are shared, overlapping may occur when passing trains.
