PERSPECTIVE ON PASTORALISTS AND PASTORALISM BY PASTORALISTS IN KENYA

A documentary on land,life and livelihoods of pastoralists in Northern Kenya. The documentary entails a description given by various pastoralists in various communities who come from different counties in Northern Kenya during a research.It starts with a description of how during the old days the land was before modernization,it gives a brief of pastoralism during the old colonial days and as the film advances leaders from pastoralists communities put up a conference in Garrissa on February 28th to March 3rd 2019.This includes pastoralists leaders from all pastoralist counties in Kenya.Leaders are addressing the challenges facing pastoralism as a livelihood as well as pastoralists.They explain the need for huge tracts of land that sustains pastoralist mobility which is a surviving tool for their livelihoods.
