Lowell Liebermann (Piano Sonata No. 3)

Written in 2002, Liebermann's 3rd piano sonata is a series of smaller sections played in a continuous movement. You will hear punching odd-meter rhythms along with climbing and cascading virtuoso melodic writing, all of which are part of the composer's signature sound world. I've enjoyed his music for several years now because it leaves the listener feeling both emotionally and intellectually satisfied!
