I Took a Bus from EU to Belarus… It Felt Like Time Travel ⏳

Come with me on a real bus ride from Lithuania, Kaunas through Vilnius all the way to Minsk. I was honestly nervous before this trip. For many years, Belarus felt like a mysterious, slightly intimidating “Soviet” country behind a heavy border. I didn’t know what to expect. From the window of a regular intercity bus, you can clearly see how everything gradually changes. Modern European highways and tidy Lithuanian villages slowly give way to a different rhythm, different architecture, and a completely different atmosphere. What surprised me most? That the reality on the other side of the border turned out to be much calmer and more ordinary than all the stories I had heard. Minsk greeted me with wide avenues, clean streets and its own unique character. This video has no voiceover — just the road, the views from the window, and honest observations of how two neighboring countries that once were one now live side by side. If you have ever traveled to Belarus, I would love to hear your experience in the comments. What surprised you? What scared you? What turned out to be completely different from what you expected? Would you cross this border again? P.S.:Filmed May 2026
