Pro Shaper Profile: Gene Cooper

In this edition of Pro Shaper Profile we catch up with our longtime friend and customer, Gene Cooper of Cooperfish Surfboards in Ventura. Gene has made a name for himself in the high-end, functional, classic, resin art, progressive surfboard realm. It's a bit of a unique and confusing niche but it's really the only one that can be associated with the Cooperfish label. Gene's unique sense of humor is a refreshing reminder that he really is having fun building these crafts by hand. While the surfboard industry tends to seek lighter, more disposable surf craft, Gene is going the opposite direction while still improving the ride and aesthetics of the board.
