In 2018, I had the privilege of performing at the Havana Habibi Bellydance Festival, an unforgettable experience that brought me together with incredible, hardworking, and talented women from all walks of life. Together, we shared the stage, united by our passion for this ancient and beautiful art form. Under the guidance of the brilliant Cuban choreographer, Maysabel Pintado, I had the opportunity to learn a choreography that truly challenged me—pushing me to explore the depths of my emotions, refine my lines, and master the art of breathing as a vital part of movement. The entire process taught me more than just steps; it was a journey into the soul of dance, where every gesture carried meaning, and every breath infused life into our performance. This performance stands as a beautiful memory of growth, artistry, and connection—both with the women I danced alongside and the art that continues to inspire me.
