#BobRoss #Art #PaintingTutorial #Kenosha Carolyn's Art was a public access art education program on Channel 21 in Kenosha, WI hosted by Carolyn Thompson, a certified instructor in the Bill Alexander wet on wet technique. It premiered 17 September 1989 and episodes were shown into 1992 or so. And we made the decision to call Carolyn "Kenosha's Bob Ross." A collection of them was donated to the Kenosha History Center by the Kenosha Public Library, and we organized them in the order the library had them and arbitrarily numbered them as episodes. The Kenosha History Center houses the main offices, three exhibit galleries, the gift shop and our Archives. The Southport Light Station, located next to the History Center building, features the fourth gallery. The Southport Light Station is composed of the 1866 historic lighthouse and the adjacent 1867 historic Lighthouse Keeper's home. Both floors of the Lighthouse Keeper's home have been restored to a 1908 time period. The Southport Light Station Museum focuses on the shipping industry, fishing, lighthouse keepers and the live saving station. The Southport Light Station Museum is open mid May through the end of October.
