Uvalde mom who ran into school to save kids says police are harassing her for speaking out
Uvalde mom who ran into school to save kids says police are harassing her for speaking out. Angeli Gomez says she's been threatened with arrest for running into the school while a shooter killed children and teachers. She wanted to save her sons. It’s been six weeks since the shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde. Hundreds of people still gather at the school to remember the 21 innocent lives lost. It’s where Angeli Gomez made a split-second decision to save her kids from a gunman. A decision she says has led to harassment and threats by Uvalde Police. She was hysterical when she arrived and wanted to go in immediately but she says was ordered by an officer to get back. ”He says, 'you are very close' and I said 'I don’t need you to protect me. I don’t need your protection, what you need to do is go and protect my kids who are in there,'” said Gomez. She says she could hear the children and the gunman. ”I just kept hearing the gunfire and it kept going and you could hear the kids screaming from the cafeteria. Kids screaming in the classrooms,” said Gomez. More: https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/spe...
