I stayed at the Japanese inn Yumetsuki in Beppu for two days and one night. On the way, I tried the popular Käsekuchen and donuts at Milhi Donuts & Cafe near Yufuin Station. I also had gold medal croquettes, and after sightseeing at Lake Kinrin, I went back to the inn. I stayed in the special Tsukihime room, which was spacious and had a bath with natural hot spring water, so I was able to relax and unwind. For dinner, I had the steak plan, and the marbled beef was very tender and delicious. One good thing about this inn was the all-you-can-drink draft beer. For lunch the next day, I had a seafood barbecue at Kitsuki Terrace, a famous oyster shack. After dinner, I went to Usa Shrine a little early for my first visit of the year, and then strolled along the metasequoia-lined avenue near the Air Self-Defense Force Tsuiki Base.
