Chickens are genuinely some of my favorite subjects to paint! They are incredibly funny, complex, and fascinating to observe. While watching them, I’ve noticed they seem to have their own strict hierarchy and subtle informal groups — this painting is a part of my artistic exploration into their world. 🖌️ Techniques & Materials Used: To bring this piece to life and achieve these rich, realistic fine art textures, I used a combination of traditional watercolor techniques alongside a few special effects: ✨ Masking fluid to preserve the crispest highlights. ✨Granulation liquid to add beautiful, organic depth to the background and landscape. ✨Coarse salt to create unpredictable, incredible textures in the Alpine meadow.
