Glassy conditions are the hardest to balance in!

I paddled to Muizenberg beach and back on a beautiful winter evening. The route takes me out of Fish Hoek bay past the Kalk Bay harbour and village then past St James toMuizenberg. The route is 10 km and along the way I discuss various points especially why I find calm, glassy conditions to be the most unstable and hardest to balance in! I also ride a wave at St James tidal pool on the way and then surf some more waves at Muizenberg and give some good descriptions of riding a wave and paddling back out through the surf. This route is one of my ‘go to’ routes at home. 0:00 Intro 1:07 Kalk Bay 1:43 Glassy conditions are the hardest 3:40 St James 5:56 Muizenberg 12:16 Gear overview Paddle with us: https://paddleafrica.co.za/ Learn with us: https://www.101learn.online/category/...
