Are you tired of feeling stuck on the guitar, playing the same licks and shapes without knowing how to connect them? This video gives you the complete 4-step roadmap to finally break out of those ruts and move freely around the entire fretboard. These aren't gimmicks—they are the fundamental concepts of music theory and fretboard application that will change the way you see the guitar. IN THIS VIDEO: (00:00) Intro: The Feeling of Being Stuck (00:38) Step 1: How to ACTUALLY Learn The Notes (03:51) A Quick Guide to Octave Mapping (05:48) A Word About My Fretboard Fundamentals Course (06:53) Step 2: The Building Blocks - Intervals & Triads (10:19) Step 3: Connecting Your Shapes (The 3 Scales You MUST Know) (14:09) Step 4: The Most Important Part - Making Real Music (17:04) My Method For Mastering The Fretboard ABOUT THIS VIDEO: So many guitar players put off learning the notes on the fretboard because it seems daunting. In this lesson, I break down a simplified method that focuses on learning one string at a time, using the major scale as your guide rather than confusing fretboard charts. We then dive into what I believe is the most important step: learning your intervals and triads. These are the building blocks of all music, and understanding how to find them all over the neck is the key to breaking out of your simple "cowboy chord" shapes. Next, we cover the three scales every player needs to know inside and out: the major scale, the major pentatonic, and the minor pentatonic. I'll show you how to see the triads that exist inside these scale shapes, which is the key to targeting chord tones and making your solos more musical. Finally, we talk about the most important step of all: applying these concepts to real music by learning and writing your own songs. Learning theory is like learning grammar, but learning songs is how you become a great storyteller. // FOLLOW ME // ► Instagram: @rhettshull ► Discord:   / discord  ► Website: https://www.rhettshullguitarcourses.com/ #guitartheory #fretboard #guitarlesson
