Calton Burial ground; Astonishing Glasgow. Ep34
The main events of this episode took place exactly 235 years to the day of this video being uploaded. I have visited the Calton burial ground to tell the story of the Calton martyrs who were killed while striking for better wages. A summer of strikes in Scotland shows that 235 years later, workers still have to fight for what we are worth but at least in 2022 there is no threat of being shot in the process. I also tell you how Glasgow has links to Abraham Lincoln and the events of the American civil war.
